Alvina Bear Chief- He Had to Bring Us Back
This happened in the principal’s office, I ran away with these girls. My dad used to work for Indian Affairs, he had to go look for us. When he found us, he had to take us back, he couldn’t even take us home, he had to bring us back. We got strapped, the strap was thick, the strap we got strapped with and it really hurt. My hands were just red.
